No doubt Python is a powerful and quite elegant programming language. The Google guys use it, NASA uses it as well as many Linux distributions.
I've seen Python in command line utilities, desktop based applications and lots of web applications, including a couple of nice frameworks.
These are just a few of the many reasons why I'm diving into Python (http://www.diveintopython.org/) so, I wonder, are you making the jump too?
