What's The Best Open Source Content Management System of 2006?

In just a few hours Packt Publishing will announce the winner of the Open Source CMS Award, a contest where many users around the world voted to choose, together with a judging panel, the content management system with the highest levels of performance, usability, accessibility, ease of configuration, scalability and security.

The finalists are:

I, obviously, voted for Drupal.

There's US$ 5000 for the best CMS and an iPod for one of the many voters.

Best of lucks for everybody and kudos to the Packt guys for helping open source to continue conquering the world.

Good news for Drupal

Even if 1st place was out of reach by one vote, this is excellent news for Drupal!

The Packt story on Digg

Yup, It's Actually a Draw

And with just one person deciding the final word is safe to say both Joomla and Drupal are the best open source CMS around this year.

Cheers!
