... is the wife? (me, actually). HAF (husband acceptance factor) has an dditional dimension here: money. Basic rule, if he has to pay for it, factor drops. So I make sure I pay for all my gizmos and gadgets with my own hard-earned money so he can't complain. And I also make sure to get something cool for him on the way. A plus if it's something technological that I'll end up using too (could be more memory for his cybershot phone, for example). Factor also drops if he just knows I'll spend more time using the new gadget (or program, or video, or whatever) instead of paying more attention to whatever he asks for (dinner, going somewhere with him or just watching boring TV). I've still got to figure out how to circumvent that one. Any ideas? :)
