Millions of us witnessed the US elections via Twitter and the Web, and I must admit I felt really happy when Obama was elected. He seems to be a smart guy and really got it when using Internet for his campaign.

Now that's he's the new President of the United Startes I wonder if we'll be able to see better laws for international electronic commerce. I'd really love to see the restrictions that foreigners face when opening US based bank accounts gone.

As a non US citizen and online business man I need access to many online services, such as merchant accounts, that are only available (or with better features than in other countries) in the US.

Will we see worldwide improvements on laws related electronic commerce with the new US administration?
