There are many great open source applications out there and some new, and not so new, languages are gaining new fans every day.
I'm keeping an eye on Magento (PHP, Zend Framework) and Satchmo (Python, Django) for managing web based shops and will keep improving my skills on Python and Django as well as working on projects with Drupal.
What do you have in your list for 2009? Which languages or open source applications want to learn?

I've been working on learning all that I can about the apps in Pinax. It has a good combination of open source django apps. I haven't heard of Satchmo before so I'll be checking that out too probably.
