School is a twelve-year jail sentence where bad habits are the only curriculum truly learned.
John Taylor Gatto
We have been reading about this all year and now CNET publishes that Amazon could make the official announcement for its Kindle, the E Ink based ebook reader, this Monday 19. A move that could demonstrate, once and for all, that the electronic books market has a future, something I've always believed even if many tried to deny.
The Amazon Kindle uses E Ink technology just like Sony Reader, Iliad and Cybook do, and could cost US$ 399, a little more than the average price of the competition; however, Amazon has a few advantages: it manages many titles thanks to owning Mobipocket, has many satisfied customers and could offer a few promotional titles, at very low prices, with the Kindle.
Now that the Kindle is coming and some prices could start shaking on the ebook readers market I may finally complete my list of gadgets I want for 2007.
