And just when I thought that setting up Apache, mod_python and Lighty with Django was cool, and I haven't even started playing with mod_wsgi or nginx (the powerful Russian HTTP server, pronounced engine X) came the requirement to move the Django application I'm developing for Facebook to Google App Engine, the latest, and it seems the coolest, player in the cloud computing arena.

While my code was running on a pure Django environment I setup the callback url in Facebook's developer application to point to my local server, some simple port forwarding in my router did the trick. Now I wanted to do the same using Google App Engine's development server.

If you want to sign up and start playing with Google App Engine and already have a Google Apps account (like a Gmail box using your domain) you may be experiencing redirect loops on your browser. I saw it with Firefox and Opera on Ubuntu and it seems to happen on Safari for Mac too.

Whenever I subscribe to a new feed on Google Reader I can choose a folder for it and that's the only way I see for adding a tag to that subscription. It makes me wonder why Google insists on confusing us using both folders and tags to refer to what it seems to be the same thing.

Other feed readers, like Rojo, allow you to add many tags at once by just writing them, on the same way you can add tags to photos on Flickr. I've used Rojo before but I really prefer Google Reader now.

Am I correct on assuming that the only way of adding more tags to a subscription on Google Reader is by going to Settings, Subscriptions and then checking the subscriptions and choosing a tag from the more actions list?

Don't we have an easier way? I hope I'm missing something really obvious here.

This may has happen to you: just setup a new ad group in your Google Adwords account, inserted a few of your well researched keywords and placed your bids. Then some of your keywords appeared as inactive, it's ok with you because you didn't want to pay that much for them, but still received clicks and got charged. What the hell?
